Community Guidelines

Our standards for a respectful, professional, and safe community for learner drivers and instructors.

Last updated: 6 February 2026Version 1.0

1.Our Standards

Drivzu is built on the belief that everyone deserves access to quality driving instruction in a safe and supportive environment. These Community Guidelines apply to all users of the platform, including students, instructors, and accompanying drivers.

We expect every member of the Drivzu community to act with respect, professionalism, and integrity. These guidelines help ensure that interactions on the platform remain positive and constructive for everyone.

By using Drivzu, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension, as outlined in Section 7 below.

2.Expected Behaviour

All Drivzu users are expected to uphold the following standards of behaviour:

  • Courtesy and respect: Treat all users, whether students or instructors, with courtesy and respect. Disagreements should be handled calmly and professionally.
  • Punctuality: Be on time for lessons and appointments. If you are unable to attend, cancel or reschedule as early as possible through the platform.
  • Honest communication: Provide accurate information about yourself, your qualifications, your availability, and your experience. Do not misrepresent any material facts.
  • Constructive feedback: When leaving reviews or providing feedback, be specific, fair, and constructive. Feedback should help improve the experience for the whole community.
  • Respect for privacy: Do not share personal information about other users outside the platform without their explicit consent. This includes phone numbers, addresses, and photographs.

3.Review Integrity

Reviews are a vital part of the Drivzu marketplace. They help learner drivers find the right instructor and help instructors build their reputation. We are committed to maintaining review integrity in compliance with the EU Omnibus Directive.

Verification

All reviews on Drivzu are verified against completed bookings. This means:

  • Only users who have completed a lesson through a verified Drivzu booking can leave a review for that instructor.
  • We use technical measures to ensure each review corresponds to a genuine, completed transaction.
  • The review submission date and the corresponding booking reference are recorded for transparency.

Prohibited review practices

The following review practices are not permitted:

  • Fake reviews: Submitting reviews for lessons that did not take place, or submitting reviews on behalf of another person.
  • Incentivised reviews: Offering or accepting payment, discounts, or other incentives in exchange for a review without clearly disclosing the incentive within the review itself.
  • Review manipulation: Attempting to inflate or deflate ratings through coordinated, misleading, or fraudulent activity.

Review removal

Drivzu may remove reviews that contain any of the following:

  • Defamatory, libellous, or knowingly false statements
  • Hate speech, discriminatory language, or personal attacks
  • Content that is irrelevant to the lesson or instructor experience
  • Personal information about others (phone numbers, addresses, etc.)
  • Spam, advertising, or promotional content

If your review is removed, you will be notified with an explanation. You may appeal review removal decisions by contacting report@drivzu.ie.

  • Personal information: Sharing personal information of other users or third parties without their consent, including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or photographs.
  • Spam and commercial solicitation: Unsolicited advertising, promotional material, or attempts to redirect users away from the Drivzu platform.

  • Include your account details, the enforcement action you are appealing, and your reasons for the appeal.
  • Appeals are reviewed by a member of our team who was not involved in the original decision.
  • You will receive a response to your appeal within 10 business days.

8.Content Moderation

Drivzu is committed to fair, transparent, and consistent content moderation in compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).

  • Human review: All content moderation decisions that result in content removal or account restrictions are reviewed by a human moderator. Automated tools may be used to flag potentially violating content, but final decisions are made by people.
  • Transparency: When content is removed or an account action is taken, we provide a clear explanation of the reason for the decision and the specific guideline that was violated.
  • Consistency: We apply these guidelines consistently across all users and all types of content. No user receives preferential treatment.
  • Annual transparency reporting: In accordance with the Digital Services Act, we publish information about our content moderation activities, including the number of reports received, actions taken, and appeal outcomes.

If you have questions about our content moderation practices, please contact us at legal@drivzu.ie.

These Community Guidelines should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Complaints Procedure.
