Subscription Terms

Terms governing subscription plans for instructors on the Drivzu platform.

Last updated: 6 February 2026Version 1.0

1.Overview

These Subscription Terms ("Subscription Terms") apply to instructors who subscribe to a paid plan on the Drivzu platform. These terms should be read together with our general Terms of Service and the Instructor Agreement.

By subscribing to a Drivzu plan, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Subscription Terms.

Where there is any conflict between these Subscription Terms and the general Terms of Service, these Subscription Terms take precedence in relation to your subscription.

2.Plans & Pricing

Drivzu offers subscription plans designed for driving instructors. The features and benefits of each plan vary by tier.

  • Pricing: All prices are displayed in Euro (EUR) and include VAT at the applicable rate unless otherwise stated. The price shown at the time of subscription is the price you will be charged.
  • Billing frequency: Subscriptions are billed either monthly or annually, depending on the billing cycle you select at the time of purchase. Annual plans offer a discounted rate compared to monthly billing.
  • Feature differences: Each subscription tier includes different features and limits. Full details of what is included in each plan are available on our pricing page and are clearly disclosed before you subscribe.
  • Plan changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time through your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately, with a prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.

3.Auto-Renewal

All Drivzu subscriptions renew automatically to ensure uninterrupted service:

  • Automatic renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. The same payment method on file will be charged.
  • Clear disclosure: The auto-renewal nature of the subscription is clearly disclosed before you make your initial purchase. You must actively opt in to the subscription.
  • Renewal reminder: We will send you an email reminder 7 days before your subscription is due to renew. This reminder will include:
  • The renewal date and the amount that will be charged
  • The payment method that will be used
  • A one-click cancellation link that allows you to cancel your subscription directly from the reminder email

If your payment method fails at renewal, we will notify you and provide a grace period to update your payment details before your subscription is suspended.

4.Free Trials

Drivzu may offer free trial periods for subscription plans from time to time. If a free trial is offered, the following terms apply:

  • Clear billing start date: Before the trial begins, you will be clearly informed of the date on which paid billing will start if you do not cancel. This date is displayed during the trial sign-up process and in your confirmation email.
  • Easy cancellation: You can cancel your trial at any time before the paid billing date through your account settings. Cancellation during the trial period will not result in any charge.
  • No hidden charges: You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the advertised price.
  • Eligibility: Free trials are typically limited to one per instructor. We reserve the right to determine trial eligibility at our discretion.

5.Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We have designed the cancellation process to be as simple as possible:

  • How to cancel: Cancel your subscription through your account settings. The cancellation process requires no more steps than the sign-up process and can be completed without contacting support.
  • When cancellation takes effect: Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to your subscription features until that date.
  • No partial period refunds: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law. See Section 7 for information about the cooling-off period for new subscriptions.
  • Data after cancellation: After your subscription ends, your account will revert to the free tier (if available). Your profile, reviews, and booking history will be retained. You can resubscribe at any time.

6.Price Changes

Drivzu may change subscription prices from time to time. We are committed to transparency when making pricing changes:

  • Advance notice: We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase by email and through the platform. The notice will clearly state the current price, the new price, and the date the new price takes effect.
  • Right to cancel: You have the right to cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect. If you cancel in response to a price change, you will continue to have access to your subscription at the existing price until the end of your current billing period.
  • Continued use: If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, your continued subscription will be taken as acceptance of the new price. Your next billing will be at the updated rate.

7.14-Day Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have the following withdrawal rights:

  • Right to withdraw: If you subscribe to a Drivzu plan as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase without giving any reason.
  • How to withdraw: To exercise your withdrawal right, notify us by emailing support@drivzu.ie with a clear statement of your decision to withdraw. You may also cancel through your account settings within the 14-day period.
  • Refund: If you withdraw within the cooling-off period, we will refund the full subscription fee to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. If you have used the service during the cooling-off period, a proportionate amount may be deducted.
  • Material service changes: If Drivzu makes a material change to the subscription service that significantly reduces its value or functionality, you are entitled to a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period.

The 14-day cooling-off period applies to new subscriptions only. It does not apply to automatic renewals of existing subscriptions.

8.Suspension & Termination

Drivzu may suspend or terminate your subscription in certain circumstances:

  • Terms violation: If you breach these Subscription Terms, the Terms of Service, the Instructor Agreement, or the Community Guidelines, we may suspend or terminate your subscription.
  • Notice: Except in cases of serious misconduct or legal obligation, we will provide you with written notice of the reason for suspension or termination and give you an opportunity to address the issue before taking action.
  • Effect on subscription: If your subscription is terminated due to a terms violation, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remaining period of your current billing cycle.
  • Suspension period: During a suspension, your subscription remains active but your access to paid features may be restricted. If the suspension is resolved in your favour, full access will be restored.
  • Appeal: You may appeal any suspension or termination decision by contacting legal@drivzu.ie. See our Complaints Procedure for full details on the appeals process.
