Student Terms

Additional terms specific to learner drivers using the Drivzu platform. These terms supplement our general Terms of Service.

Last updated: 6 February 2026Version 1.0

1.Introduction

These Student Terms ("Student Terms") apply to you if you use Drivzu as a learner driver to find, book, and take driving lessons with RSA-approved driving instructors. These terms are in addition to our general Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of the platform.

Where there is any conflict between these Student Terms and the general Terms of Service, these Student Terms take precedence in relation to your use of Drivzu as a student.

By creating a student account or booking a lesson through Drivzu, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Student Terms.

2.Eligibility

To use Drivzu as a student, you must:

  • Be at least 17 years of age. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the platform.
  • Hold a valid Irish learner permit (or equivalent recognised permit) for any lessons that legally require one. It is your responsibility to ensure your permit is current and valid before each lesson.
  • Provide accurate personal information when creating your account, including your full legal name, date of birth, and contact details. You must keep this information up to date.
  • Not misrepresent your experience level, permit category, or any other information relevant to your driving instruction.

Drivzu reserves the right to verify your eligibility at any time and to suspend your account if any information you provide is found to be inaccurate or incomplete.

3.Booking Obligations

When you book a driving lesson through Drivzu, you agree to the following obligations:

  • Punctuality: Arrive at the agreed pick-up location on time. If you are running late, contact your instructor as soon as possible through the platform. Persistent lateness may result in forfeited lesson time without refund.
  • Medical conditions: Inform your instructor of any medical conditions, disabilities, or medications that may affect your ability to drive safely. This includes conditions that have developed since your last lesson.
  • Safety directions: Follow all reasonable safety instructions given by your instructor during lessons. Your instructor has the right to end a lesson early if they believe continuing would be unsafe.
  • Learner permit: Carry your valid learner permit with you during every lesson. Your instructor is legally required to verify your permit, and a lesson cannot proceed without it.
  • Fitness to drive: You must not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs your ability to drive. Your instructor will refuse to conduct the lesson in such circumstances, and no refund will be given.

For information about cancelling or rescheduling bookings, please see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

4.Payment

All prices displayed on Drivzu are in Euro (EUR) and include VAT at the applicable rate where the instructor or driving school is VAT-registered. The current VAT rate for driving instruction services is 13.5%. The price shown at the time of booking is the price you pay.

Payment is processed as follows:

  • Standard bookings: Payment is taken at the time you confirm your booking. Your lesson is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.
  • Voice bookings: When you book a lesson through our AI voice assistant, a payment hold is placed on your selected payment method. You have 15 minutes to confirm the booking and complete payment. If payment is not completed within this window, the booking is automatically cancelled.
  • Payment methods: We accept the payment methods displayed during checkout. All payment processing is handled by our secure third-party payment provider.

For full details on refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks, please see our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

5.Reviews & Feedback

After completing a lesson, you may leave a review for your instructor. Reviews help other learner drivers make informed choices and contribute to the quality of the Drivzu community.

When leaving reviews, you agree to:

  • Genuine experience: Only review instructors with whom you have completed a verified booking through Drivzu. Reviews must be based on your own firsthand experience.
  • Truthfulness: Provide honest and accurate feedback that reflects your genuine experience. Do not exaggerate, fabricate claims, or deliberately mislead other users.
  • One review per booking: You may submit one review per completed booking. Duplicate or multiple reviews for the same lesson are not permitted.
  • 7-day edit window: You may edit your review within 7 days of submission. After this period, your review becomes final and can only be removed by contacting support.

All reviews are subject to our Community Guidelines. Reviews that violate these guidelines may be removed.

6.Platform Limitations

Drivzu is a marketplace platform that facilitates connections between learner drivers and RSA-approved driving instructors. Please understand the following limitations:

  • Facilitation, not guarantee: Drivzu facilitates the booking process but does not employ instructors directly. We do not guarantee the quality, suitability, or outcome of any lesson. Each instructor operates as an independent professional.
  • Your choice: You are responsible for choosing your instructor based on the information available on the platform, including instructor profiles, reviews, ratings, and qualifications.
  • Test outcomes: Drivzu is not responsible for the outcome of any driving test. Passing or failing a driving test depends on many factors, and completing lessons through Drivzu does not guarantee any particular result.
  • Instructor availability: We cannot guarantee instructor availability at your preferred times or locations. Availability is set by individual instructors.

7.Voice Booking

Drivzu offers an AI-powered voice assistant to help you search for and book driving lessons by speaking naturally.

  • AI assistant disclosure: When you use our voice booking feature, you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system, not a human agent. The AI assistant is designed to understand your requirements and help you find suitable lessons.
  • Data processing: During voice sessions, your speech is processed by third-party speech-to-text and text-to-speech services. Voice data is processed in real time and is not permanently stored after the session ends, except for session metadata needed to fulfil your booking.
  • Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, the AI assistant may occasionally misunderstand your requests. Always review the booking details before confirming. You are responsible for verifying the lesson date, time, location, and instructor before completing your booking.

For full details on how our AI and voice technology works, see our AI & Voice Disclosure.

8.Your Data

We take your privacy seriously. When you use Drivzu as a student, we collect and process personal data necessary to provide the service, including your name, contact details, booking history, and payment information.

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct your data: Update or correct any inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete your data: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Port your data: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

For full details on how we handle your personal data, your rights under GDPR, and how to exercise those rights, please read our Privacy Policy.
